What is the maximum log diameter you can cut?
There is no practical diameter limit. Log size is mainly limited by how you handle and load the log.
What board thicknesses can be produced?
From thin boards through to full beam size, depending on model and setup.
Can I upgrade a manual model later?
Many accessories and options can be added later. Contact us with your current model and what you want to achieve.
Are Turbosawmill frames heavy duty?
Yes. Frames are built heavy duty for rigidity and long service life in commercial environments.
Is the design suited to harsh outdoor conditions?
Yes — machines are built for outdoor, field-based milling and rugged jobsite use, they are built from alloy and stainless steel!
What is realistic production?
Approximately 5–7 m³ per 8-hour shift with one operator. Higher output is achievable with efficient log staging and workflow.
How accurate is the cut?
Very accurate. Digital sizing options provide consistent repeatability.
Can one person operate the mill?
Yes. Turbosawmill is designed for one-person operation.
Do your mills handle hardwoods well?
Yes. Swing-blade systems excel in hardwoods and produce straight cuts without blade wandering.
Are blades sharpenable?
Yes — blades are sharpened on-site without removal. Replacement teeth are standard and readily available.
How long do blades last?
Typically 2–3 hours between sharpenings and 1000+ hours total blade operating life under normal conditions.
What kerf sizes are available?
Standard kerf is 7.1 mm. Optional kerf for some models includes 6.1 mm, and smaller systems can be as low as 4.25 mm.
Do you use water cooling?
Yes — blade cooling is typically water, with optional biodegradable lubricant.
What engine range do you offer?
Petrol engine options are typically in the 13–30 HP range depending on model.
What fuel consumption should I expect?
Approximately 3–5 L/hour depending on cutting load and timber species.

Is a swing-blade mill better than a band mill?
