Austin Mehlhorn has officially taken on the role of U.S. distributor for Turbosawmill through Beaver Works Leasing LLC. This marks an exciting new chapter as we continue expanding our presence in America.

A 20-foot container of Turbosawmill portable sawmills is already in the process of being ordered—stock machines that will soon be available through Beaver Works Leasing to meet growing demand.

Austin’s Story

“I’ve long dreamed of owning my own sawmill, starting with a chainsaw mill that helped me build projects like decks and woodsheds. But it was labor-intensive and the lumber wasn’t always square.

After exploring various options, I found band mills costly and maintenance heavy. I was drawn to swing-blade mills, especially Turbosawmill’s design—portable, easy to use, and capable of cutting large logs on-site without a tractor. I grew up in New Hampshire, where I started logging and operating heavy equipment from a young age while working in my family’s business. Seeking new challenges, I drove to California and embarked on a tree climbing career, focusing on residential work. Over time, I worked with multiple tree services and eventually took on my own tree projects. Realizing I could elevate my work by investing in a sawmill, I decided to purchase a Turbo sawmill after six months of careful consideration. I chose the Turbo for its unmatched features: freedom from being confined between two beams, centralized controls at one end, quick setup, automation, high production speed, and the ability to handle virtually unlimited log diameters. Additionally, the quick-change, sharpen able teeth are perfect for navigating the nails and spikes often found in residential trees.
