πŸ›‘οΈ Insurance & Liability

The Hirer assumes full responsibility for the equipment from the time of delivery or collection until return and inspection. The Hirer is liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the sawmill, trailer, or accessories, whether due to accident, misuse, negligence, or third parties.

πŸ”§ Damage Waiver Fee (Optional Protection)

A non-refundable Damage Waiver Fee equal to 10% of the hire cost provides limited protection against minor accidental damage (e.g., scratches, dents, or light wear during normal use).

The waiver does not cover:

  • Loss or theft of the equipment

  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper operation

  • Failure to secure or protect the sawmill or trailer

  • Transport or towing accidents

The Hirer remains responsible for any major loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear.

🚚 Delivery and Collection Fee

Delivery and collection services are charged at $1.50 per km (round trip) to cover fuel, labour, and vehicle costs.
A minimum fee of $150 applies for deliveries within 100 km round trip.
All equipment must be accessible for safe loading and unloading at the arranged times.

πŸš— Towing & Transport Requirements

If the Hirer chooses to tow the sawmill:

  • The tow vehicle must be legally rated and equipped for the trailer’s weight.

  • The driver must hold a current, appropriate licence.

  • The equipment must remain on sealed roads, unless prior written approval is obtained.

βš–οΈ Indemnity

The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from any claim, damage, or loss arising from the use, operation, or transport of the equipment, including personal injury, property damage, or legal breaches occurring during the hire period.

🧼 Return Conditions

All equipment must be returned clean, operational, and complete.
Additional cleaning, repair, or replacement charges may apply for equipment returned in poor condition or missing components.
The Owner reserves the right to charge for loss of hire revenue during any repair or recovery period.
