◉ Turbosawmill chega à Austrália: Demonstrações ao vivo do M12 em Orange e Murrumbateman.

O designer da Turbosawmill, Jake Peterson, viajou da Nova Zelândia para a Austrália para uma digressão de demonstração de dois espetáculos em Nova Gales do Sul, trabalhando em conjunto com o agente da empresa sediado em Canberra para mostrar o desempenho da serração com lâmina oscilante M12.

The first event was the Murrumbateman Field Days, where Jake and the agent set up the machine and ran live demonstrations throughout the weekend. Strong crowds gathered to watch the M12 cut through heavy hardwoods, clearly seeing how easily the mill can be operated by a single person while still delivering high output. Jake hired a motorhome for the trip, giving him the chance to take in the Australian landscape between events.

A noteworthy highlight of the tour was the debut of Turbosawmill’s new eight-tooth narrow-kerf weld-on blade, used for the first time on the M12 during both shows. Turbosawmill typically supplies insert-style removable carbide teeth, which generally run a kerf of around 7.1 mm. For these demonstrations, the team trialled a 6.1 mm kerf weld-on blade. The difference in efficiency was immediately noticeable, with the narrower kerf reducing cutting resistance and improving speed and smoothness—particularly impressive given the density of Australian hardwoods.

After Murrumbateman, the agent loaded the M12 onto a trailer and transported it north to the Australian National Field Days in Orange. This event delivered strong engagement, and the team was provided with a selection of large hardwood logs—including ironbark, cypress, and elm—allowing the M12 to demonstrate its stability, power, and accuracy in some of the toughest timbers available.

Following the conclusion of the Orange show, the machine was packed down and Jake returned to New Zealand. Across both events, extensive footage was captured, and a series of reels and videos from the tour will be shared shortly.
